OLD FORGE, Pa. — UltraComfort America is proud to announce that President and CEO Rich Golden has been named a Master of Motion in Furniture Today’s 2026 Home Furnishings 500, recognizing influential leaders who have made a significant impact on the motion furniture industry.
The Home Furnishings 500 recognizes 500 of the most influential leaders, innovators and trailblazers shaping the home furnishings industry across 25 categories. From executives and manufacturers to designers and entrepreneurs, the annual list celebrates the individuals helping move the industry forward.
For Rich, the recognition reflects more than four decades of leadership, innovation and commitment to improving people’s lives through products designed for comfort, wellness and independence.
Rich serves as President and CEO of both UltraComfort America and its parent company, Golden Technologies, a family-owned and operated manufacturer based in Old Forge, Pennsylvania.
His journey with the company began alongside its earliest days. Golden Technologies was founded in 1985 by Rich’s father, Robert Golden Sr., and Fred Kiwak, who began manufacturing lift chairs in a one-car garage in Pittston, Pennsylvania. As one of the company’s first employees, Rich helped grow the business from those humble beginnings before being named CEO in 1991.
Today, Golden Technologies and UltraComfort have grown into leading manufacturers of power lift recliners and mobility products, while remaining committed to American craftsmanship, quality and the founding principle to “Build It Right the First Time.”
Under Rich’s leadership, UltraComfort has continued to push the boundaries of what a power lift recliner can provide. Through innovative positioning and wellness-focused technology, the company strives to create products that go beyond traditional comfort to support how people relax, recharge and live more independently at home.
That commitment extends beyond product innovation. Rich has remained equally passionate about the people behind UltraComfort and the community the company calls home.
